The Dominican Republic does not have great wind all year long. I just spent 10 days in Cabarete and there was not one kitable day. The locals say July and August are best.
Hi, i have been working in kite beach cabarete for 10 years, 2010 has been really bad for wind in cabarete because the phenomenon of the Niño is affecting the whole Caribbean, when we have a year with normal weather Cabarete can be one of the best places in the world for kiteboarding.
Last year we had great wind non stop,The Niño can stay in the Caribbean for 1 or 2 years but it does not matter how bad the year is the summer is always good Jun and July are the best months of the year.
