Florida Boarder is a kiteboarding school and shop located in Tampa, Florida. We're hear for the Boarders who are stuck in board meetings.
There are over 20 spots to kite from in the Tampa Bay Area. Most with little to no regulations or restrictions.
The locations are scattered through out 2 counties on the Gulf Coast of Florida, so there are many options for riders to choose based on desired condition and riding style.
Florida Boarder's aim is to teach competitancy to kiters, with both the extreme and traditional sailing seamanship in mind.
Conditions are best between September and April. Florida maintains a relatively warm water temperature throughout the winter months, however it has a tendency to crank during that time! I hope that isn't a problem!!
Tampa International Airport is less than 45mins from the furthest kiteboarding location in Tampa. Florida Boarder has the option to arrange housing, transportation and gear for interested kiters. Additional supports such as downwind supervision and boat services are available.
