Situated off the northern tip of Panay you is will find the island of Boracay. This small island became truly discovered in the 80's by traveling backpackers. Since then this island has developed into a richly culturally diverse place with strong local culture alongside 5 star luxury accommodations and shopping malls. The Kiting setup What is drawing the Kiters to Boracay are the long, fine white sand beaches, tropical waters and consistent winds. The east side and quieter side of the Boracay is where you'll find Bulabog beach. Its along here you will find yourself in 'kiteboarding Philippines heaven'.
Bulabog beach has ideal conditions for beginners and with moderate consistent trade winds winds that blow December to March, from mid morning to late in the afternoon. Its a destination for kiting thats worth going to.The Reef setup makes for safe kiting conditions in shallow waist-deep waters within the 2.5 kilometer expanse of the bay.And since the sand goes out 1km from the shore. You are safe from sharp coral and sea-urchins.
For the experienced rider there are waves to be had on the reef and in the channels between the reefs - great rolling swells can be enjoyed for riding and boosting jumps.
White beach the reason Boracay became such a tourist destination - (all 5 kms on the west side of the island) is also great for wind in large lagoon.
Further locations have been found for kiteboarding the Philippines on the nearby surrounding islands and boat trips to these more secluded areas can be arranged.

Other Activities When you're not kiteboarding Boracay Island, it has a great social life scene with plenty of enjoyable restaurants and bars - enjoy sunset drinks and dinner. For the late night partier, Moondogs Shooter bar, the Beachcomber and the Big Bazura are worth checking out.
Further activities and watersports are also available such as incedible diving, wakeboarding, horseback riding cycling, ATVs, caving in Bat caves, golf and long walks on the beach. Mt Luho, at 100m above sea level, the highest point of the island, is also an enjoyable walk to do to get a view of the island.
To get to Boracay island - fly to the Philippine Capital, Manila. Once in Manila take a Domestic flight to Caticlan, Boracay's airport on Panay island.
