Santa Barbara

by Mike Sysavat
(Santa Barbara)

Location Name: Leadbetter
Main City: Santa Barbara
Best winds: March-May(Not are high season, but when it blows you'll need a small kite) July-September(High season which produces great light wind conditions)
Wind Conditions: 12-20mph
Water type: Flat, small waves
Water Temp: 4/3-3/2 full suit
Nightlife: Tons on State Street
Local Tip: Check with the locals regarding rules first!

Describe this location: Small launch/land area. Winds are light for the most part but we can get awesome flat water.

What do you like best about it?: Small community of kiters, so everyone is super chilled. When the winds kick in they are consistent and the central location allows you to pick and choose.

Other locations nearby: C-Street, stronger winds and bigger waves.

Other Activities, when the wind's not on?: Surf, SUP, paraglide, skate, bike, run, hike, wine tours, boat trips to the islands and many more.
