Many of the sporting activities we do are weather dependent. The tour can and will be arranged to ensure the best wind is caught at the best locations.
Whilst we make every effort to ensure the conditions are right by selecting the most suitable time of year and location, the actual conditions on tour are of course completely out of our control. For this reason, there are no refunds due to lack of suitable weather conditions. For further details, please see our detailed Terms and Conditions of Travel when signing up.
The weather in South Africa and Cape Town is warm both during the day and night and can be a little humid (approx 24-30°C). In the water: you can expect to wear a full suit 4/3 mm with water temps at 12 to 18 degrees. Out the water: you should be prepared for warm weather and pack accordingly with light cotton clothing and a hat. You will not need more than a hoodie and jeans at most for the evenings. Boardshorts, T-shirts and flip-flops are the norm for this time of year.
We want you to have a 'locals' feel for this trip while making you comfortable and enjoying the laid back surf - safari vibe of Cape Town and South Africa. To do this we avoid the touristy hotels and stay in accommodation that would make you connect with locals and other kiters and travelers in the area.
